About Kay
Kay graduated from Central St. Martins College of Art and Design in BA Printed Textile, during which she worked with designer Jessica Ogden. She went on to gain an MA in Constructed Textiles at Royal College of Art, London and won the WGSN worth global style network trend competition 2004 and Browns Focus ‘deconstruction’ competition 2004.
She started her own label ‘Kay’ in 2006, which sold to United Arrows in Japan, before collaborating with her brother, Jing, on ‘Daydream Nation’ later that year.
With her passion for theatre and dance, Kay has worked on a range of productions in Hong Kong and London, including City Contemporary Dance Company's 'Autumn Sonata' (2004); Open Daily's 'Fetish Stories' (2004); PIP Theatre's 'Cheer U Up' Concert (2009) and 'Coming Home' (2009); Mcmuimui Dansemble's 'Key to Strange Realm' (2009), and internationally acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan's 'bahok'.
